We live in a culture which is harsh and judgmental; where disrespect is common and common manners are disrespected. Sheila knows that for individuals to feel comfortable they must sense instinctively they are valued. Sheila treats each client with dignity and courtesy and provides empathetic encouragement to help with healing.
Sheila knows that each individual is unique and deserves a treatment program that is equally as unique. She combines techniques from several different modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing. Each session is different based upon the client's personality, experiences and needs.
A few of the subjects Sheila is passionate about and enjoy working with are:
Binge Eating Disorders
Helping parents navigate the hypersexualized culture we live in.
Redeemed From Food
A Faith-based, 16 week course teaching the addictive properties of sugar, scientific research, and CBT techniques to overcome this addictive cycle. Incorporated into this class are Scriptural truths which teach us how much God cares about our food choices, and what (or who) should be a higher priority than food. Call to reserve your seat.
